125: Marquez leads Ajo 1-2 in qualifying
Marc Marquez was not only able to take pole position for the 125cc Australian Grand Prix, his eleventh pole of the year, but also towed Ajo Derbi team-mate Sandro Cortese into second.

Marquez leads the world championship by just three points from Nico Terol, with three races to go, but Terol could only manage fourth on the grid for Aspar Aprilia â€" having lapped 0.848sec behind Marquez.

Pol Espargaro, the third of the title contenders, was the best non-Ajo rider in third place, 0.755sec from pole and the last rider within one second of Marquez.

Terol's team-mate Bradley Smith will head the second row with Espargaro's team-mate Efren Vasquez starting seventh.

Conditions were dry but still cold and windy.
